Patricia L. Brown & Associates Letter To Clients

We promised to update clients on how our firm is responding to the corona virus pandemic. As always, our primary goal is to ensure that clients and their and families are safe from being exposed to the virus, and that you can reach us during this difficult time.

We made the difficult decision to close the physical office and have each of us work from home beginning Monday, March 23, 2020. As we stated in our previous correspondence, we will be available via phone during normal business hours; however, you can leave a message with our answering service 24/7, and we will call you back as soon as possible. The most effective way to reach us is via email both during and after normal business hours. We continue to check our emails frequently so that you receive a response in a timely manner.

The Texas Supreme Court issued an Order on April 17, 2020 that states that the Courts are not to be opened to in-person hearings until June 1, 2020 except in cases of emergency. We do not determine whether or not the hearing is an emergency, which is decided by the Judge and his or her Court Administrator. Some judges are holding video conference hearings as well. If you have a hearing between now and June 1, 2020, we will be in contact with you directly to discuss the options that we have available.

We understand that it is difficult for you to plan when the information we are being given changes frequently, so we will continue to provide updates to this plan in the upcoming days and weeks.

Thank you for choosing our firm to assist you in your case and we look forward to working with you going forward during this time. Please feel free to contact your attorney or paralegal directly with any issues. You may also email me directly ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns.
