Attorney Profiles

Patricia Brown spent her early years in Southern California and New Hampshire.  With an early interest in music, piano, and oboe, she expected to become a professional musician.  She proudly served a four year tour of duty in the United States Navy.  After graduating from Mississippi State University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education, she taught junior high school English in Jackson, Mississippi.  She then relocated to Albany, NY, and while raising her family there, became an entrepreneur, starting and maintaining several small businesses.  Today, both of her children are legal professionals; Julia, a paralegal in Ms. Brown's firm, and Emily, an attorney with L.E. Mcknight, P.C., a Dallas, Texas firm.

While not born in Texas, Ms. Brown got here as fast as she could.  She graduated from Albany Law School (Albany, NY) in 1996, completing her final year at the University of Texas Law School in Austin, Texas.  While in law school, Ms. Brown interned with legal department of the New York State Department of Social Services.  Combining her entrepreneurial and legal skills, Ms. Brown founded her own firm in 1997, with an initial focus on family law.  The firm quickly outgrew its original offices on E. Palm Valley Boulevard in Round Rock, and relocated to its current location on Round Rock West.
